The author, hailing from the great state of Georgia, Dr. Damian Dunbar has over 30 years of experience in financial management, budget analysis, policy analysis and small business contracting and subcontracting analysis. Dr. Dunbar served in the United States Army Finance Corp. from 1989 to 2009 and retired as a Sergeant First Class. Dr. Damian Dunbar is also 100% service-disabled veteran as rated by the U.S. Veteran’s Administration. After retirement and as of the date of this book, he has worked as a financial analyst for several federal agencies. Th e study in which he received his doctorate related directly to strategies used by small business leaders to obtain subcontracts to remain sustainable. Dr. Dunbar earned his MBA from Colorado Technical University and his Bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA) from Baker College in which he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Dunbar is a Certified Defense Financial Manager and also a Department of Defense (DoD) Level II Certified Financial Manager. Dr. Dunbar created this book titled Strategies Used by Small Business Leaders to Obtain Government Contracts and Subcontracts to assist small business leaders with strategies realized through his education in coordination with his 30+ years of government experience. Th is book was created to assist in building partnerships and helping those small business leaders that could use some expertise and assistance in their strategic planning in obtaining work from the U.S. government.
